About Know Charlotte

Know Charlotte is an independent public-data project for people researching where to live in Charlotte, North Carolina. Editorial content and methodology are maintained by Ethan Fulcher. Neighborhood pages combine Mecklenburg GIS, Census ACS, and other cited sources, not crowdsourced reviews or agent marketing.

We are not a real-estate brokerage, lender, appraiser, or insurance agent. We report public data with sources and vintages; we do not give buy/sell advice or personal risk scores.

Boundaries on the map follow Mecklenburg Neighborhood Profile Areas (NPAs). Marketing neighborhood pages (for example Dilworth or NoDa) may span one or more NPAs; see Methodology and Sources.

Sponsorships

We may accept flat-fee neighborhood sponsorships from licensed Charlotte businesses. Sponsors never influence data layers or indexation. All sponsored placements carry clear disclosure per FTC guidelines. We do not accept per-lead or per-close real estate referral fees (NC §93A).

Affiliates

Moving and relocation guides may include affiliate links (for example U-Pack) disclosed at the point of placement. We do not use agent lead-gen programs that pay commissions on home sales.
